Work hard, set goals, be open-minded, and try new things. UNC Charlotte and the surrounding area have a lot to offer in terms of networking and internship/job opportunities. Do not be afraid to go to some of these events!
Get involved on campus! Surround yourself with other open-minded, motivated people who will build you up and encourage you to be your best. It is important to me, as a woman in business, to not be intimidated and to be willing to try new things, even when I am nervous about succeeding.
When women and men are looking at the same position, women are less likely than men to apply to the position if they do not meet “all” the listed qualifications. We need to be more confident in ourselves, remember to believe in ourselves, and be less afraid of making mistakes.
